My name is Jenny, and this is my icon journal. You may also know me as sfumato @ GJ. I've used three (3) different graphic-making programs, all of which have icons in this journal. MGI Photosuite (really crappy), GIMP 2 (eh), and Photoshop CS2, which will now be used to make all my icons. This is the post where I run down the rules and stuff. They're really simple. Comment, credit, and don't hotlink. I like knowing where my icons are going, I like people knowing they're my icons, and I don't want people stealing my bandwith and forcing me to re-upload icons. So just don't hotlink. I have indeed been known to PM people who are using my icons without credit, so if I see you doing it, don't be surprised if you get a PM from me. I'd rather not have to pester people for not crediting, but alas, I have to sometimes. Also, please don't customize these. Yes, they're roleplay icons, but please just don't customize them. If you do want to, ask me. As of this moment, I'm not taking requests, but suggestions are more than welcome. If you want to affiliate, please comment to this post and I'll add you to the list!

So, my hard drive just crashed, and I've lost everything. I still have the icons I've uploaded to photobucket to be posted, but the 300+ batch I'd made for Mia Wasikowska is gone. This means I'm taking a hiatus to recover what I lost while I have to wait for HP to send me a stupid recovery disc, which won't even happen until like the 9th. In the meantime, we fortunately have a PC so I can get a jumpstart on recovering some things while I wait.
And yes, I will be using an online backup system from this point on. Ugh.

So I have a screencapping question for some of you out there! I've currently got KMPlayer and VLC Player, both the newest versions. Neither will autocap a DVD. I get a problem pop-up with KMPlayer whenever I try. And with VLC...some of the older versions do autocapping, but mine doesn't have this certain menu preference the tutorials told me to select.
So my question is...does anyone know of a GOOD, FREE, screencapping program that caps DVDs without all this hassle? I've spent the last 3 hours getting really angry because I can't figure this stupid thing out.

I did too many again, although it averages out to about 50 icons per episode. He seems to have gotten a bit better at acting, too. Anyway, I'm glad he's around and on something now. Privileged was such a letdown as far as Julian time goes.

I loved this movie, I love Imogen, so icons were mandatory. I'm not satisfied with all of them. The lighting sucked at times and had moments of foggy ridiculousness. Nonetheless, here they are! For now, they're all from Cracks, and they could possibly be counted as a bit spoilery. You've been warned.

I got curious today since cuzco told me photobucket's account limit went down, so I checked my stats. Lo and behold, some people are taking my icons, hotlinking them, and using them on some forum! Well, I look, and they appear to be hotlinking my Dustin Milligan icons.
So, if anybody notices my Dustin icons turning into broken links, that's why. I'm going to try to be on top of it, but I can't promise anything.
And, if you are the one doing this, STOP HOTLINKING MY ICONS. Seriously. I should not have to police my icons because someone is using them on some foreign language forum that I have never heard of.
